Video: Keeping Okoboji Blue

InIowaWater.org is part of a suite of web tools that I developed for the Environmental Law & Policy Center. This storytelling and advocacy tool includes original reporting and stunning photography that showcase the clean water challenges and opportunities facing Iowa (as well as sister websites about Illinois, Indiana and Minnesota).

As project manager, I oversaw the strategies for messaging, design, web development, content creation, and ongoing marketing. I also served as videographer and video editor for all of the videos that accompany our stories.

West Lake Okoboji is known for its clean blue water, kept fresh by subterranean springs. Local residents and business owners work hard to keep it clean. One successful project involves installing wetlands on a local golf course to prevent sediment and water pollution from reaching the lake.
