Illinois Wesleyan University Council for Women

Studies have shown that while young women enter college with talent and enormous potential, they do so with less confidence than their male counterparts. This Council of alumnae was established to help change that for current female students at Illinois Wesleyan. Council members serve as mentors, advisors, connections to internships and more. We visit campus twice annually, once for a Homecoming planning session and once for a Spring summit that brings together female students, faculty, staff and alumnae for a 2-day conference focused on women’s issues at school, in the workplace, and in the home. I have been a proud member since 2010.
